Pamela Karlan drew significant ire from conservatives in December 2019 when she testified as a witness during President Trump’s impeachment hearings. During the hearings, Karlan inappropriately invoked the name of President Trump’s minor son, Barron, to make a joke that “President Trump can name his son ‘Barron,’ he can’t make him a Barron."
